first of all, i want to say thank you everyone who contributes to these boards and provokes stimulating conversations and thought processes.

i thought i was reading my own life story then. except it all happened over 40 years ago for me. teenage pioneer servant--married at 20--wife expecting 3 years later--then the blood decision hit me--and i faced the fact i never had believed in a god--just a left over from ancient primitive man. i was only in it because i was brought up in it and did it all to please others.
so i quit.
the jehovahs witnesses have gained planning to build a vast uk headquarters complex in chelmsford.the international bible students association, which manages the christian groups literature, gained planning to redevelop a derelict farm near galleywood with a 1.2m sq ft scheme.the 150m complex will provide homes for 1,200 people spread across 16 five-storey blocks, a large printing plant, offices, auditorium, health and fitness centre, water treatment plant and on-site parking for 1,040 vehicles.. the ibsa is now set to begin groundwork at the 82-acre temple farm site and start construction by 2016.. .

so the fade is progressing well.... however, it has been noticed by the 'hounders', who i know will be "following up" with us soon i'm sure.. so i have thought of a way of shutting down the questions etc.... if they ask about things like meeting attendance and field activity, i am going to say something like:.

during the watchtower today while there was so much pontificating on the first century christian movement, i was wondering what would happen i asked your run of the mill r&f how paul and others would have been pronouncing the divine name?....
yes god's name, something witnesses claim was so critical.
but the absolute fact of the matter is that no christian was saying the name jehovah at all, period.
i saw a letter leaked on this site that was an application for pioneering/ some school/ something.. it had a part that said "you must not have watched pornography in the last two years" or something similar.. i cant find it now, can someone help me out?

so today's wt seems to put out the idea that during early christian times it was god's hand that made the romans build roads, have strong laws, etc.
to make the preaching easier.. anyone else notice that?
some here really banged on about how great it was that god did that, just for them.
so where did god exist before he created the heavens?
i am seriously considering disassociating myself.

i no longer consider jehovah as my god and i am in a new religion now.

i was not informed (for 'legal reasons'), but they phoned my dad and told him.

on a sad note--my ex wife--a born in--totally shuns our 39 y o d/f son. she will miss out on being a grandmother to his new baby--due any day now.
what would be your plan or ideal reason the walls came crashing down?
Jehovah's Witnesses and the doctrine would still continue for many many decades.
i dont think it can continue in its present form or strength. us older generation are fast dying off--and the young ones are far too internet savvy so to swallow much cult crap as they grow up.
